Arrival in Cochin — Drive to Munnar
Arrive at Cochin International Airport or Ernakulam Railway Station. Meet and greet by our driver. Drive to Munnar (3.5 hours) through scenic routes. En route stop at Cheeyappara Waterfalls and Valara Waterfalls, two stunning cascades on the Kochi-Munnar highway. Also visit a spice garden. Check into hotel. Overnight Munnar.

Munnar — Tea Plantations and Mountain Lakes
After breakfast, explore the breathtaking landscapes of Munnar. Visit Mattupetty Dam with views of the Munnar mountains. Continue to Kundala Lake for boating amidst Western Ghats scenery. Drive through the famous tea plantations to Echo Point. Visit Eravikulam National Park — home to the endangered Nilgiri Tahr (closed Feb-Mar). Return to hotel.

Munnar to Thekkady — Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary
Post breakfast, drive to Thekkady (110km, 3 hours) — the spice bag of Kerala. Enjoy a scenic boat ride on Periyar Lake flowing through the Periyar Tiger Reserve. Watch for elephants, bison, deer and sambar along the lake shore. Visit a spice plantation. Optional: Kathakali show and Kalaripayattu martial arts performance in the evening.

Thekkady to Alleppey — Backwater Houseboat
Drive to Alleppey (165km, 3.5 hours). Check into your traditional Kerala houseboat by noon. Float through the legendary backwaters — a complex network of lagoons, lakes and canals lined with coconut palms and village life. All meals included on the houseboat. Overnight stay on the water.

Alleppey to Cochin — Departure
