Colombo Airport to Trincomalee — Pinnawala

Arrive at Bandaranaike International Airport, Colombo. Meet your English-speaking driver-guide. Drive to Trincomalee (approx 5 hours) via the scenic interior. En route stop at Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage — the world's largest elephant sanctuary, where you can see elephants bathing in the river. Check into hotel. Overnight Trincomalee.

Trincomalee to Kandy — Sigiriya Rock and Kandy

After breakfast, drive to Kandy. En route visit Thirukoneswaram Kovil, an ancient Hindu temple perched on a cliff above the sea. Continue to the UNESCO World Heritage Sigiriya Rock Fortress — the ancient palace built atop a 200m rock by King Kashyapa in 5th century AD. Afternoon in Kandy. Visit Kandy View Point. Evening: gem museum or local shopping. Optional cultural dance show.

Kandy to Ella — Nine Arch Bridge and Ravana Falls

Post breakfast, drive to Ella through the scenic hill country — one of the most beautiful drives in Sri Lanka. En route visit Seetha Amman Kovil and Ashoka Vatika from the Ramayana. Stop at the spectacular Ravana Falls. Arrive at Ella and walk to the iconic Nine Arch Bridge — best viewed at dusk when the train passes.

Ella to Galle — Mirissa Beach Morning

Early morning drive along the south coast. Stop at Mirissa Beach for a serene morning walk — one of Sri Lanka's most beautiful beaches and the best spot for whale watching (optional extra). Continue to Galle. Evening explore the atmospheric Galle Dutch Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and its charming cafes and boutiques.

Galle to Colombo — City Exploration

Morning drive to Colombo (1.5 hours). Explore Sri Lanka's vibrant capital. Visit Galle Face Green — the iconic oceanfront esplanade. Colombo Dutch Museum. Evening shopping at Galle Face Mall. Overnight Colombo.

Colombo — Departure

Morning visit Pettah Floating Market and Independence Square. Transfer to Bandaranaike International Airport for departure.
